We are looking for a Senior Software Developer (Rust/Go) to join our mission of protecting the digital world.In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of a large-scale open-source platform implemented in Rust, as well as the evolution and maintenance of existing Go-based services and integrations that are critical for Acronis partners and customers worldwide. You will work in a collaborative, global environment, partnering with architecture, QA, Security, and Support teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions that meet high quality standards.What You'll DoDesign, develop, test, and maintain backend services and platform components that are part of the internal Core Platform and used by multiple Acronis productsTake ownership of services throughout their lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment and long-term maintenance.Make architectural and technical decisions with a focus on scalability, reliability, backward compatibility, and operational stability.Collaborate closely with other engineering teams, product management, and QA to define requirements and deliver platform capabilitiesWrite clean, efficient, and well-documented code following established best practices and coding standardsPerform code reviews, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and securityTroubleshoot and debug complex production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective long-term solutionsMentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharingContribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and engineering practicesTechnical StackProgramming Languages: Go (primary), PythonDatabases: MariaDB, PostgreSQL, ClickHouseIn-memory & Caching: RedisMessaging: RabbitMQContainerization & Orchestration: KubernetesInfrastructure & Deployment: Cloud-based environmentsWho We’re Looking ForBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience5+ years of professional software development experience in backend or platform engineering roles.Strong proficiency in Go; experience with Python / Rust is a plusSolid understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems (including service-to-service communication, data consistency, and fault tolerance)Experience building and operating backend services in cloud environmentsPractical experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) and modern development workflowsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex technical challengesGood communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in an international engineering environmentExperience in cybersecurity, data protection, or other high-reliability systems is an advantageExperience using modern LLM instruments and AI development tools (Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, etc.) to accelerate development workflows while maintaining code quality and security.
