Senior Software QA Engineer

Key ResponsibilitiesTest Strategy, Planning & LeadershipOwn and define the automation test strategy for web applications, APIs, and data pipelinesReview business requirements, data workflows, and integration specs to identify automation opportunitiesDesign and oversee implementation of reusable, maintainable test automation suitesEstablish best practices for automated regression, smoke, and data validation testingDrive continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and coverageAutomation Development & ExecutionArchitect, develop, and maintain advanced automation frameworks using Cypress, Selenium, or PlaywrightIntegrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI)Automate data validation workflows, including source-to-target comparisons and transformation logic checksPerform complex SQL-based validation for ETL processes and healthcare datasetsConduct API test automation using Postman, Newman, or REST-assuredQuality Governance & Defect ManagementEnsure consistent, data-driven defect reporting in Jira with actionable insightsLead root cause analysis for high-severity or recurring defectsTrack, prioritize, and oversee resolution of defects across teamsChampion data integrity and compliance (HIPAA, PHI handling best practices)Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with developers, data engineers, analysts, and product managers to embed quality at every stageLead QA reviews in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release readiness meetingsShare QA metrics, automation dashboards, and release health reports with leadershipMentorship & Team EnablementMentor and coach junior QA engineers in automation best practices and toolsReview and approve test automation code written by other team membersFoster a quality-first mindset within the engineering teamAdditional ResponsibilitiesDrive performance testing strategies for high-load healthcare applicationsPropose and implement automated data quality monitoring solutionsResearch and evaluate new QA tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve efficiencyWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field5+ years of QA experience, with at least 1 year in automation-focused rolesProven track record of designing, implementing, and scaling automation frameworksStrong SQL skills (complex joins, aggregations, data reconciliation)Expertise in Cypress, Selenium, Playwright or equivalent automation toolsHands-on experience with Postman/Newman for API automationFamiliarity with ETL processes, data pipelines, and healthcare data formats (HL7, EDI, FHIR, etc.)Strong understanding of CI/CD integrations and Agile/SCRUM workflowsExperience working in the US healthcare domain (EHR/EMR systems, claims data, HIPAA compliance) preferredExcellent analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detailStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively with global teams
