Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior MIS System Engineer to join our growing MIS group. This role is critical in shaping the governance, administration, lifecycle management, and AI-driven efficiency of our business systems and IT services.The ideal candidate will be a hands-on systems leader with deep expertise in system management frameworks, automation, security, monitoring, and a forward-looking approach to leveraging AI/ML for IT operations (AIOps), automation, and governance. This individual will collaborate closely with MIS Engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure consistent onboarding, integration, compliance, and scalability of systems, while also evaluating and applying AI-driven insights to drive both operational excellence and business impact.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Governance & ArchitectureBuild system frameworks and policies (access, compliance, lifecycle)Ensure integration and governance across the SaaS stackEvaluate AI tools for monitoring and anomaly detectionAdministration & MonitoringManage core SaaS platforms (Okta, Google Workspace, etc.)Oversee endpoint security tools and system monitoringAdminister key business systems (Salesforce, NetSuite)Implement AIOps for smarter alerting and troubleshootingSecurity & Data GovernanceOwn IAM, SSO, and access control frameworksApply security standards (Zero Trust, SOC 2)Support audits and use AI for threat detection and responseAutomation & EfficiencyAutomate provisioning, monitoring, and reporting (Python, Bash)Build low-code/AI workflows to reduce manual workSupport system consolidation and governance at scaleCollaboration & LeadershipAct as a systems advisor on IT architecture and automationPartner with teams across engineering and securityProvide advanced support and mentor junior adminsPromote AI literacy and experimentation within the teamRequirements:5–8 years of experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure, or MIS governance rolesProven expertise in SaaS administration and enterprise IT ecosystemsStrong background in security frameworks, IAM, and data governanceHands-on experience with device management systems (Jamf, JumpCloud or others) and SaaS ecosystems (Okta, Google Workspace, Office365, Atlassian, Slack).Strong experience in building integrations and data flows using iPaaS solutions such as Zapier, Workato or MulesoftDemonstrated ability to contribute to systems designs, implement and enforce governance frameworksProficiency in building Bash and Python scripts to automate administrative tasks, accelerate execution, and enforce governanceStrong knowledge of system monitoring and performance optimization toolsAdvantage - Experience managing CRM and ERP systems (Salesforce, NetSuite, etc.) including governance, administration, and integrationsStrong knowledge of project management and cross-functional system implementationFamiliarity with AI/ML-driven IT tools (e.g., AIOps platforms, AI monitoring, anomaly detection, automated remediation systems)Experience with prompt engineering and the ability to evaluate/apply generative AI copilots for IT automation and supportFamiliarity with compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, SOX, or GDPRExperience with Zero Trust security models (ZTNA, ZScaler, Umbrella)Knowledge of network administration (firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers)Certifications or coursework in AI for IT Operations, cloud automationWhat Success Looks LikeA unified MIS system governance framework is operational and adopted across teamsSystems are secure, monitored, automated, augmented by AI-driven insights, reducing risk and manual overheadMIS Engineering and other business stakeholders see frictionless onboarding of new systems with strong governance controlsThe MIS team is empowered with frameworks, tools, and processes that improve efficiency, automation, and complianceAI/ML adoption is thoughtfully applied to IT operations, improving predictability, resilience, and business alignmentWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
