Senior Systems Support Technician As a Senior Systems Support Technician at Bionic Spider Technical Solutions, you’ll play a critical role in delivering both proactive and reactive IT services to clients. Working onsite as well as providing remote support, you’ll manage network infrastructure, desktops, virtual environments, backup systems, security, and more.This fast-paced role is ideal for someone with strong technical foundation, professionalism, and a customer-first attitude. You’ll liaise with clients, make recommendations, document client systems, and ensure standards-based IT environments are maintained in top form.Key Responsibilities Deliver onsite and remote network and systems support to business clientsDevelop deep subject matter expertise for each assigned client and create and maintain technical documentation for client systemsDevelop and maintain strong customer relationships, more important than specific skills is a strong respect of people, businesses, and technology and providing value to clientsA strong technical foundation with a corresponding confident and driven approach to learning and serving clientsConduct best-practice reviews and IT health checks to align environments with standardsOnboard new clients with full technical assessments and documentationAdminister and maintain LAN/WAN networks, virtualization, backup and security systemsIdentify and help mitigate risks in client IT infrastructuresProduce and maintain client-specific technical documentationWork alongside team members to implement comprehensive IT solutionsTrack and submit time, mileage, and expense reports in coordination with office managementExperience Required Proficiency in Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016–2025 environmentsExperience managing Microsoft business class servers, desktops, networks and cloud technologiesSkilled in troubleshooting firewalls, VLANs, NAS devices, and backup/disaster recovery systemsStrong technical writing and documentation capabilityDetail-oriented, process-driven, and self-motivatedComfortable, confident and resourceful when working independently with a sense of urgency on client siteExceptional customer service and communication skillsOne or more technical certifications or equivalent real-world experienceReliable vehicle and valid BC driver’s licenseAvailability for occasional off-hour support and flexible schedulingAbility to work remotely from home and with a small teamPreferred QualificationsMSP (Managed Service Provider) experienceKnowledge of remote monitoring and management (RMM) toolsExperience Troubleshooting Microsoft Windows in a business environment Experience managing/ troubleshooting Microsoft Windows ServerProficient with Active Directory Domain Services Administration and Group Policy ManagementProficient with Microsoft 365 and Azure Active DirectoryStrong understanding of network connectivity and troubleshooting best practices including:Proficient LAN/ WAN Network Connectivity Troubleshooting Experience Proficient managing and configuring Hyper VProficient configuring/ Troubleshooting FirewallsProficient configuring/ Troubleshooting Network Switches including VLANs Experience with Backup/ Disaster Recovery DevicesExperience Configuring/ Troubleshooting NAS devices Experience with Remote Management Tools (RMMs)Compensation and Search ProcessThis is a full-time position based in Victoria, BC. Candidates should expect to be onsite at client locations most days, all other hours will be remote work from home. Typical hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to accommodate client needs outside normal hours.Compensation is competitive and based on experience, with an anticipated salary range of $65,000 - $100,00.
