Senior Urban Designer – Master Planning

Our portfolio spans across Dubai’s prime residential and commercial destinations, showcasing our commitment to transparency, customer centricity, quality, integrity and adding value through a construction-driven approach.With some of our exciting launches such as Burj Azizi (the second tallest tower in the world), Monaco Mansions and Azizi Venice – Dubai’s new luxurious Venetian-inspired waterfront community, we are rapidly expanding our capabilities in our Design 360 Studio, where our team seamlessly integrate Architecture, Structures, MEP, Landscape, Interiors and Supervision to deliver a variety of innovative and value driven real estate assets.As a Senior Urban Designer reporting into the Senior Design Manager - Master Planning working from our Design Studio at the Al Hudaiba Awards office in Dubai, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the conceptualization and development of our large-scale masterplans such as Azizi Venice — a 136-hectare Venetian-inspired waterfront city in Dubai South featuring swimmable lagoons, retail boulevards, cultural venues, and over 200 luxury villas and 100 residential buildings — as well as upcoming communities like Azizi Milan and Monaco Mansions. You will play a key role in shaping mixed-use, high-quality, and people-centric environments that integrate residential, hospitality, retail, and public realm components, while ensuring connectivity, sustainability, and design excellence across all phases of planning and implementation. Responsibilities includePrepare masterplan feasibility design studiesProvide urban design vision: public realm, streetscapes, open spaces, land use strategies, circulation / mobility networksConduct and supervise site analysis: context, climate, infrastructure, topography, existing fabric, view corridors, accessibilityProduce high-quality visualizations: hand sketches, digital renders, diagrams, 3D modellingPrepare compelling presentations, reports, feasibility studies, and design documentationCoordinate multidisciplinary teams (landscape, civil, structural, transportation, environmental, etc.) and external consultantsEnsure compliance with Dubai / UAE planning regulations, codes, sustainability standardsMentor and review the work of junior designers; foster knowledge sharingEngage with clients and stakeholders; present ideas clearly, defend design decisions, handle feedbackMonitor project schedules, costs, quality; identify risks and propose solutionsStay updated on trends in urbanism, sustainability, and digital tools (GIS, smart city, etc.) Here's what you'll needMaster’s or Bachelor’s degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture or equivalent; a postgraduate qualification is preferred Should have at least 8 years total experience in urban designingStrong portfolio demonstrating large-scale masterplans, mixed-use developments, public realm design, infrastructure coordinationProficiency in design & visualization software: AutoCAD, SketchUp/Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modelling tools; GIS skills are an advantage Good knowledge of planning codes, sustainability standards, transit / mobility / infrastructure integration
