Job Title:SEO Content OptimizerDepartment:ContentReports To:Content DirectorJob Purpose:The SEO Content Optimizer leverages Green Marketing’s custom GPT models to produce and refine channel‑specific content: blogs, service and location pages, FAQs, Google Business Profile posts, brand development content, and social captions.You’ll format, fact‑check, interlink, and polish AI outputs to meet our SEO, accessibility, and brand standards. This is an AI‑first, optimization role; ideal for someone with basic content writing and on‑page SEO knowledge who enjoys turning AI drafts into publication‑ready assets.Key Responsibilities:AI‑Enabled Content ProductionUse Green Marketing’s custom GPT models to draft channel‑specific content (blogs, service and location pages, FAQs, landing pages, Google Business Profile posts, social captions, email snippets), then refine outputs to meet brand and SEO standards.On‑Page Structure & SEOOrganize content with clear heading hierarchy (H1–H3), scannable paragraphs, bullet/numbered lists, tables when useful, and SEO elements including title tags, meta descriptions, URL slugs, and alt text, where applicable.Image/Media Selection & OptimizationSource appropriate visuals from approved stock libraries or client assets; ensure image & content relevancy, alt text, and quality.Internal Linking & TaxonomyImplement and maintain interlinking across blogs, service pages, and location pages to support topical clusters (e.g., lawn care, landscaping, irrigation, hardscaping) and guide users toward pillar pages.Editing & Quality AssuranceAudit AI output for accuracy, clarity, originality, brand voice, readability, and local relevance (services, service areas, seasonality). Resolve inconsistencies, remove fluff, and ensure compliance with checklists and tone guides.Client Voice & Brand FidelityTailor content to each client’s tone, offers, certifications, and service territories; accurately reflect nuances of the lawn & landscape niche (seasonal tasks, regional considerations, safety and licensing notes).SOP Adherence & ImprovementFollow Green Marketing’s standard operating procedures and checklists consistently; document gaps and propose updates to prompts, templates, and knowledge base to improve throughput and quality.Documentation & Asset ManagementMaintain organized records of prompts, drafts, publishing statuses, image sources/attributions, and final URLs; keep content calendars and task boards up to date.Qualifications and Skills:Basic understanding of on‑page SEO (title/meta, headings, internal links, alt text, URL slugs).Basic understanding of AI tools (prompting, refining outputs, responsible use).Communication skills: clear writing, concise edits, and professional client‑facing notes.Strong attention to detail: consistency, grammar, brand voice, and checklist discipline.Ability to follow SOPs and hit deadlines across multiple client accounts.Comfortable using spreadsheets/task boards (content calendars, status tracking).Remote Work and Equipment Requirements:This is a fully remote position. Team members must maintain a professional, distraction‑free workspace and reliable connectivity to collaborate and deliver work on schedule.Working Hours:Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time (ET), Monday–Friday.Be available for stand‑ups, reviews, and client‑related meetings during these hours (observing ET, including Daylight Saving shifts).Performance Metrics and KPIs:Timeliness: 100% on‑time delivery; 0 overdue tasks per month.SOP Adherence: ≥ 98% checklist compliance across formatting, metadata, interlinking, accessibility, and publishing steps.Quality / Error Rate: ≤ 2 minor issues per 10 assets; 0 critical errors (e.g., incorrect client details, broken links, image licensing issues).First‑Pass Approval: ≥ 90% “ready to publish” on initial submission.Interlinking Coverage: 100% of eligible assets include required internal links per content brief/topic cluster.Accessibility Completeness: Alt text on 100% of images; correct heading order on 100% of pages.Revision Efficiency: Average 1.5 revision cycles per asset before final approval.Throughput: Meets monthly cadence defined in the content plan (blogs, service/location pages, GBP posts, social captions).Communication SLAs: Responds to team/client comments within working hours on the same business day.Compensation and Benefits:Base Salary: $1,000 per month (USD).PTO: Generous paid time off, including mental health days.Additional details on holidays and accruals provided at offer stage.
