Role: The Service & Support Engineer will perform installation, preventative maintenance and service on Refeyn instruments both in house and on customer sites and to assist with installations where necessary.Responsibilities:Perform annual preventative maintenance visits on installed instrumentsRepair instruments both on customer sites and in house within the required time frameProvide remote support to customers, sales and applications team in case of immediate service issuesInstall instruments and AutoMP retrofits where requiredCoordinate and conduct basic user trainingContribute to ongoing efforts to improve service and training documentation/proceduresLiaise with Manufacturing and R&D (hardware and software) teams to improve instrument reliabilityContribute to service data collectionAssist with service stock managementTake responsibility for data and record keeping for installed instrumentsWork with Manufacturing team to ensure instruments are delivered to the customer on time, as requiredAssist Manufacturing on occasionQualifications:BSc or Masters Degree in Engineering/PhysicsUse of sensitive scientific equipment 3 yearsCustomer facing interaction 1 yearKnowledge and Experience:Required:Working in a laboratory requiring personal protective equipment (PPE) and the handling of sensitive scientific equipmentExperience troubleshooting complex scientific equipmentExperience with electronic assemblies and/or optical systemsDesirable:Experience working with scientific instrumentation software troubleshootingExperience with liquid handling robotsExperimental experience with proteins, DNA or other biomoleculesLocation:SingaporeStart date:We are looking to hire this person on or after January 1, 2026.Additional Requirements:Right to work in relevant country required as standard for all rolesPassport holder and ability to travel Yes/NoCar/drivers licence with relevant insurance Yes/NoTravel: Some/Moderate/ExtensiveWe are happy to provide information about our benefits in Singapore.Refeyn is committed to being an equal opportunities employer.
