Mō te tūranga | About the Role The Service Group Owner – Identity & Access Management (IAM) is responsible for the strategic oversight, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of the organization's IAM services, including both Customer and Staff IAM. The role is a senior leader in cyber security operations, reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). This role ensures secure, efficient, and user-friendly access to systems and data across the enterprise, aligning IAM capabilities with business needs and regulatory requirements, whilst ensuring customers can safely and securely access our digital channels.Strategic Leadership Define and execute the IAM strategy in alignment with the organization's cybersecurity roadmap and business objectives. Serve as the primary point of accountability for IAM services across the enterprise. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure IAM services support digital transformation and risk management goals.Service Ownership Own the end-to-end lifecycle of IAM services including identity governance, access provisioning, authentication, authorization, and privileged access management. Ensure IAM services are designed, delivered, and maintained to meet performance, security, and compliance standards. Drive service maturity through continuous improvement, innovation, and adoption of best practices.Operational Management Oversee day-to-day operations of IAM platforms and tools, ensuring availability, reliability, and scalability. Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to IAM technologies and services. Monitor and report on service performance, user satisfaction, and risk posture.Risk & Compliance Ensure IAM services comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards Lead audits and assessments related to identity and access controls. Implement controls to prevent unauthorized access and mitigate insider and external threats. Implement controls to prevent unauthorized access to customer accounts.Team Leadership & Collaboration Lead cross-functional teams including IAM engineers, analysts, and project managers. Foster a culture of security awareness and accountability across the organization. Partner with IT, HR, Legal, and business units to ensure seamless identity lifecycle management. Partner with Consumer and Business channel owners to embed digital identity for customers.Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring? Essential Min. 5 years’experience ina Cybersecurity leadership role. Proven experience in IAM roles in enterprise environments Expert understanding of IAM technologies Familiarity with the latest technologies and trends in in Cybersecurity. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Understanding of Digital Identify trust frameworks.Desirable 5+ years banking experience Proven ability to build trusted relationships.
