We specialise in digital services and assets for roads, rail, utilities, and events—delivering technology-driven solutions that protect workers and inform the public in real time.Our Values are: Forward Thinking, Reliable, Honest, Respectful and TrustworthyAbout The Role Of Service TechnicianWe are looking for a Service Technician who can support the development of the next generation of IoT technologies to enhance Worker Safety and promote Digital Supervision within roadworks.The Service Technician will support our multi-disciplined engineering team in the development of new products for our extensive range of products.Responsibilities Of a Service TechnicianBuilding Electronic circuits using precision tools for surface mount components as appropriateFault-finding electronic circuits using schematics as the guide.Developing applications based on existing products and producing the associated wiring diagrams.Supporting the testing and certification of the company’s new productsAssisting with the transition of products from development into manufactureSupporting the generation of product documentationSupport the Operations teams in solving production issues.Create and maintain an appropriate level of electronic product documentation, including product guides and operating instructions as required.Issue investigation and resolution on new and legacy electronics products.Ability to multitask on several tasks that are running concurrently.What Good Looks Like For a Service TechnicianCity and Guilds or HND qualification in relevant subjectsRight to work in the UK unsponsoredExperience as a technician/engineer dealing with electronic devicesExperience in fault-finding on Electronic CircuitsExperience in product testing.Knowledge of key engineering design tools for schematic entry, PCB layout or producing wiring diagramsAn open and positive outlook, with an interest in exploring new technologies and ideas.The ability to work effectively on own initiative within a multi-disciplined engineering team.Good standard of English written and spoken.We want someone who can be constructively challenged and is able to effectively collaborate.EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY AT HRSHighway Resource Solutions believes the skills, capabilities and talents of our people are the key to our success.
