You’ll play a key role in supporting Hosted operations, handling complex support requests, collaborating across departments, and maintaining high availability and performance of systems. This position requires working hours aligned to the UK business day: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM BST (British Summer Time) during summer, and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) during winter. Candidate must be able to work these hoursKey ResponsibilitiesPrioritize and update support tickets based on urgency and gathered informationFollow, Re/Write and share detailed procedure documentation and quick-reference procedures for Tier I,2 3 and peers. (using the company SharePoint and or one drive). Should include : staging, installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining physical and virtual serversCommunicate effectively across technical teams when working on, through or escalating issuesMonitor, identify, and correct issues with platforms including HyperV, Application Support, Server, SAN/NAS etcParticipate in on-call rotation for urgent after-hours issues. (presently on a 1 in 3 Rota)Manage and execute change requests as part of formal change control – Collaborating with internal teams as necessary to provide smooth deploymentsDesign and select storage, data center, network, and client/server environments to design solutions in line with industry best practiceMaintain assigned portals/websites, using content creation and management tools as well as digital mediaPerform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issuesProvide fault isolation and resolution to limit and address issues promptlyContribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work, and generate new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvementsImplement required security measures such as firewalls or message encryptionIdentify and report noncompliance with policies and escalate where neededDevelop personal capabilities through training, education, and certification to stay current with best practices and technologyQualifications4+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or equivalent educationGood Testing and Reporting SkillsA good understanding of Data Collection and AnalysisData Management SkillsHands-on experience with Hyper-V virtualization platform - Including clustering/clustered storageA good understanding of PCI-DSS Practice is a plusProficient in communication – both written and verbal – especially in EnglishStrong server/system/SQL and Software troubleshooting abilitiesSelf-driven and adaptable to a fast-paced and growing environmentOrganized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling confidential documentationEffective collaborator across technical and non-technical teamsTechnical Competencies Solid foundation in networking principlesProficiency in Windows Server and Active Directory administration and issue resolutionStrong understanding of Windows Clustering for high-availability servicesExperience with Windows backup solutions – Veeam preferredExperience administering SAN solutions (e.g., provisioning, monitoring)Good understanding of Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)Good understanding of SQL Server – including monitoring, troubleshooting, and basic maintenanceExperience with Windows Certificate Management is a plusAbility to write/debug PowerShell scripts for automation and system tasksGood to great understanding of switch configuration and firewall rule sets is a strong plusBarracuda platform knowledge – including Load Balancer, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and NextGen Firewall – is highly desirableCisco ASA firewall experience is a strong bonusBehavioral CompetenciesEnsures AccountabilityDecision Quality Tech SavvyCollaborates Communicates EffectivelyPDI is committed to offering a well-rounded benefits program, designed to support and care for you, and your family throughout your life and career.  This includes a competitive salary, market-competitive benefits, and a quarterly perks program.
