We understand that the collective efforts of our people hold the key to our success.PRIMARY ROLEPart of the Credit Team, the Settlements Officer is primarily responsible for managing the settlement process of commercial property loans, from preparation of Letters of Offer, instructing solicitors, checking off conditions precedent and submitting for funding approval.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAssist in the settlement process of commercial loans (under direction of Credit Manager).Instruction of solicitors to prepare loan documentation and review documentation when completed.Work closely with solicitors and key stakeholders to ensure loans progress towards settlement and all required documentation and conditions are held.Prepare drawdown notices and liaise with the Finance team in the call for funds for settlements.Recording details of loan security and terms for communication to our Loans Servicing Team.Manage Loan Discharges with panel solicitors and maintain the sell down schedule.Preparation of draft credit risk and investor reports for Credit Manager review.Other duties to assist the Credit Team as delegated by the Credit Manager.COMPETENCY / JOB SKILL ATTRIBUTES / REQUIREMENTS2-3 years banking experience with exposure to commercial property loan settlements or a similar role.Previous exposure to loans processing (preferably commercial loans), loan documentation and mortgage processing.High level of attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with and maintain collaborative relationships with all stakeholders.Strong ability to plan, prioritise and work to tight deadlines.Computer literacy of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).Ability to prioritise well to ensure deadlines are met.Demonstrate a strong customer focus with a positive, can-do attitude.Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative.ABOUT USBalmain.com.au
