West Cirque Construction is currently seeking an experienced Skilled Labourer with a strong work ethic, the desire to be part of a team, and the skills to assist in the construction of a multifamily project in the Saskatoon region.As a member of our team, you will provide insight and innovative solutions to ensure the successful construction of our commercial and residential properties.SummaryReporting to the Site Superintendent, the Skilled Labourer selected will be responsible for the completion of carpentry work and quality management of a large multifamily build, ensuring the compliance with local building code and company safety policy. The Skilled Labourer is also responsible for general site maintenance and clean-up as needed.ResponsibilitiesAdherence to building code and corporate safety requirements on all sitesCarpentry work that falls outside of the scope of work of subtradesOversight of subtrade work Perform touch ups and repairs on subtrade deficienciesPerform frame checks and mechanical checksFinish carpentry workQuality management inspections and reportingReport issues as they arise to the superintendentProficient knowledge and use of power tools such as air nailers, skill saw, screw gunMentor novice workersOther tasks as required by the site foreman / site superintendentRequirementsExperience in finish carpentry is an assetEquipment operation experience is an asset (zoom boom / skid steer)Knowledge of building code and safety code requirementsBe organized, interpersonal and strong communicator with the ability to build excellent relationships with subtrades and workers on siteCandidate must have excellent time management skills, have the ability to prioritize work and be results drivenExceptional attention to detail and strong understanding of quality standardsHighly organized, results-oriented and able to work in a multi-functional team environmentMust have own vehicle and valid driver’s license
