About The RoleAs part of the Camera Hardware Engineering Team, the Camera Test Engineer will own multiple camera module calibrations and test systems.
They will use equipment and algorithms to validate sub-component and improve the overall camera module performance for our drones. This person will have a good understanding of different aspects of design and testing. They will be comfortable traveling to module integrators in Asia to drive module test development efforts.
How You'll Make An ImpactDevelop test equipment, algorithms, and methodologies to validate designs and provide significant feedback for design iterationsImprove all camera modules for our next-generation dronesWork closely with internal camera design, vehicle manufacturing, and module integrator to build the entire suite of camera calibration and performance test capabilitiesDevelop multiple custom cameras to have a significant impact on our future roadmap and across the entire drone industryWhat Makes You a Good FitProficient in Python and/or MATLAB; Python highly preferredProven understanding of imaging systems and image quality metricsAbility to bring up extensive camera module tester selection including light panels, test charts, and test algorithmsAbility to perform comprehensive camera module calibrations and performance characterization (SFR, LSC, color calibration, image sensor noise, Autofocus calibration, testing, etc.
