Job Description

We currently have Two Temporary (Specified Purpose) post available for a Social Care Worker in Beechhaven Residential.Both roles will be for a minimum of 36 hours a week and will last approximately 8 -12 months. These are 12 hour shifts.Applications for these posts are open to internal candidates only.The successful candidate will support the Team Leader, P.I.C and Residential and Day Services Manager in the following:To develop and implement a person-centered plan through the implementation of personal outcomes for each client promoting self-development, individuality and independence whilst ensuring that all policy and guidelines are adhered toUndertake the role and responsibilities or delegated responsibilities of the Team Leader in their absence. Coordinate and ensure the support needs of the service users are met in their daily livesMinimum Requirements:Relevant recognised Degree in Social Care /Applied Social Studies in Social Care (Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications) or equivalent qualificationsFull Clean Driving License (essential)12 months of experience working with adults with an Intellectual Disability (essential)Be currently eligible to work in IrelandThe closing date for this competition is Sunday, 16th November 2025 at 5.00pm, however depending on the volume of applicants we may close applications earlier than that.Remuneration:The successful candidate will be appointed on the Social Care Worker HSE Consolidated Payscales (Sept. 2008). € 19.32c - € 25.86c per hour depending on experience.Recruitment Process:Selection will involve short-listing of applicants for interviews based on the information provided on the application form.
