ROLEAfter 5 years of growing Westhill as a small independent brand, we’re looking for a creative freelance Content Specialist to get in on the action and help expand our community.As the freelance Content Specialist, you’ll be planning, coordinating and executing high quality content to build our social engagement and following across all channels.You’ll play a key role in the success of the brand and in return we’ll provide you with the freedom to explore, learn and create work that you’ll be proud of. Starting off with a relatively small scope (≈ 4 working days per month) you’ll have the opportunity to grow your own role by hitting monthly marketing objectives and unlocking more budget ;)KEY SKILLSProfessional experience in Socials - either agency, freelance or in-house - with success in building audiences on social platforms. We’ll be looking to see examples of previous work (with high organic reach) and social audiences that you have helped to build.Obsessed with what’s new in social, your finger is on the pulse of new and emerging trends.Creative at the core with an eye for design, you take pride in creating work at the very top level.You’re a Planner. Content calendars are locked-in way in advance and the plans have been clearly communicated to everyone who needs to know.Reliable and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.Understand social media engagement and monitoring tools.You will be working with a videographer to create the content, but photography/videography and graphic design skills are a bonus if you have them.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPlan and execute high quality content on a regular monthly basis. Focusing on one core shoot each month to create a 30 second video alongside a range of shorter edits. Each carefully co-ordinated to optimise for maximum organic reach on social platforms.On-site execution is a must. Attend photoshoots to ensure content hits everything we need.As a rough guide; we envisage that the role would entail 2 days of conceptualising, planning, storyboarding and co-ordinating a shoot. 1 full-day shoot. Followed by a 4th day of editing, recording data from previous content, and summarising results to inform future shoots.Create a content calendar to get ahead of the game and align with broader marketing plans.Bring platform, creative and audience trends and insights into the creation of effective social strategies to drive follower growth, boost engagement and increase organic traffic to the website.Have a solid understanding of our customer; what interests them and who they are aspiring to.Collaborate with our partners to work the inside story on designs, marketing initiatives, partnerships + activities to support compelling social media planning.Monitor and Record performance of each post. Track monthly performance metrics (reach, engagement, saves) to refine content strategy.
