We’re Hiring!Position: Social Corporate Communication OfficerLocation: Baghdad, IraqWorking Days: Sunday to ThursdayEkur Company, one of Iraq’s fastest-growing retail supermarket chains, is looking for a talented and creative Social Corporate Communication Officer to join our team.This role will play a key part in shaping our corporate image, managing public and internal communications, and highlighting Ekur’s social and community impact.Key Responsibilities:Corporate CommunicationDevelop and manage official statements, speeches, press releases, and internal memos.Maintain a consistent brand tone of voice across all communications.Prepare executive briefings, Q&A documents, and announcements for internal and external use.Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries.Manage communication during crises with professionalism and speed.Media & Public RelationsBuild and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets.Organize press events, store openings, and public appearances involving the brand.Monitor media coverage and compile monthly media reports.Prepare response guidelines and crisis communication plans.Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Community EngagementPlan and execute CSR campaigns (food drives, environmental initiatives, education sponsorships, etc.).Build partnerships with local NGOs, schools, and municipalities.Highlight social and charitable activities through storytelling, reports, and media coverage.Create narratives around Ekur’s contributions to the community and employees.Internal Communication & Employee EngagementManage internal newsletters, announcements, and engagement content.Create campaigns reflecting company culture and values.Support HR in internal communication related to policies, events, and recognition programs.Digital & Social Media ManagementManage and grow Ekur’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, etc.).Create and publish engaging, on-brand content highlighting corporate news and community initiatives.Monitor trends, hashtags, and competitor activity to enhance online visibility.Track and manage brand mentions, reviews, and public feedback.Content Creation & CoordinationCollaborate with videographers, designers, and content writers to produce impactful materials.Ensure brand consistency across all platforms.Develop strategies to strengthen brand credibility and consumer trust.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.2-4 years of experience in corporate communication, PR, or social media management (retail or FMCG sector preferred).Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills in both Arabic and English.Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.Familiarity with digital marketing tools, analytics, and social media trends.Excellent interpersonal skills, creativity, and professional communication style.If you’re passionate about storytelling, social impact, and building brand reputation, and want to be part of a growing and purpose-driven company — we’d love to hear from you!Apply now by sending your CV to: HR@Ekurmarket.com
