Our purpose is to help merchants become discovery economy era winners.The PositionAs a Front-End Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in the development of our Engine so that it scales for thousands of our Shopify merchant clients. You get to invent and introduce new kinds of shopping experiences to shoppers around the world. You will be challenged by the variety of different stores, finding ways to best adapt our Engine to their needs, while keeping the product scalable. You will be tackling complex technical challenges and seeing your solutions drive tangible results in real-time. As a key member of a growing startup, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of our product and truly own your impact, making every day rewarding and full of growth.What You’ll DoDevelop and maintain our unique Shopify app solution.Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.Write thorough tests and apply systematic debugging.Contribute to new products and features from concept to launch.Provide technical guidance and code reviews for the engineering team.Document integration solutions, APIs, and architecture.Collaborate with merchants to resolve challenges and drive improvements.What We ExpectBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.5+ years of front end development experience with exposure to back-end technologies.Strong experience in React/TypeScript, and modern web development.Experience with API integration and highly dynamic content loading.Passion for implementing polished UI/UX with attention to detail.Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to resolve complex technical issues.Commitment to delivering high-quality, well-tested code.Passion for problem-solving beyond code: ownership, initiative, and collaboration.Fluent in spoken and written English.Nice-to-HavesFamiliarity with the Shopify eCommerce platform, or something similar.Understanding of security best practices, and architecture.Experience with UI/UX design principles and design tools.Fluent in spoken and written Finnish.Technologies You’ll Work WithFrontend: React, TypeScriptBackend: NodeJS, PostgreSQLInfrastructure: Git, AWS, DockerWhat We OfferDevices of your choice for your work setup plus AI tool subscriptions e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini.Flexible work environment: ergonomic, centrally located offices and remote working options.One of the most challenging and rewarding roles: shaping the future of a growing startup from the ground up.A competitive compensation package: a strong salary combined with stock options, giving you ownership in the company.A supportive, inclusive culture with a strong focus on work-life balance.Next StepsThe position will be filled as soon as we find the right person, so make sure to apply as soon as you realise you really, really want to join us!The compensation will be a negotiable combination of monthly pay and company options.
