Software Engineering Intern

The Infor Decision Analytics and Science (IDEAS) team is responsible for setting the AI/ML strategy at Infor. Our industry-specific Augmented Intelligence (AI) solutions suite in Asset, Forecast, Inventory, Customer, Pricing, Sales, Data and Operational Intelligence domains provides rapid and measurable value to enterprise customers. In pursuit of advancing our AI solutions, IDEAS is currently seeking a Development Intern, Software Engineering. The internship will center on building an intelligent middleware that unites Infor BaaS and GenAI to power the next generation of context-aware AI assistants for Infor CloudSuite ERPs. A Day in The Life Typically Includes: * Develop an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that bridges Infor's Backend as a Service (BaaS) and GenAI Platform to create an intelligent middleware layer for Infor CloudSuite ERPs. * Develop understanding of BaaS that enables building serverless, event-driven functions that are exposed as APIs while Infor GenAI provides AI capabilities like assisted text authoring, summarization, comparison, contextualization, and language translations. * Enable the MCP server to allow AI assistants to intelligently interact with ERP data and operations through a standardized protocol, enabling natural language queries, automated workflows, and context-aware business process augmentation. * Develop code in Java or JavaScript, with strong emphasis on testing, comprehensive documentation, and DevOps best practices including containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment. * Maintain development artifacts and technical documentation in GitLab. Basic Qualifications: * Final year candidates in the Master's / Engineering program in Computer Science, Networking or a related discipline from an accredited university. * Software development exposure in JavaScript, Java, Python, and SQL. * Good grasp of REST APIs and micro-services architecture. * Exposure to Spring Boot (Java) or Node.js/Express (JavaScript) frameworks. * Hands-on experience with Containerization technology (Docker), CI/CD, and Git. * Familiarity with testing frameworks (JUnit, Jest, Mocha) and test-driven development. Preferred Qualifications: * Understanding AI/ML concepts, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering. * Familiarity with API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI). * Prior experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). * Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).About InforInfor is where ambition meets impact.
