The organization delivers degree and certificate programs across disciplines such as nursing, health sciences, business, IT, and liberal arts. In addition to its headquarters in West Virginia, the customer operates facilities and partner institutions across the United States. The primary product areas to work with are learning management systems, student enrollment, and academic operations on web and mobile platforms.What You’ll DoDesign and architect end-to-end data solutions leveraging Snowflake as the primary cloud data platformImplement and maintain Medallion architecture in Snowflake, ensuring a robust dimensional data model for the gold layerDefine and oversee data transformation processes using Coalesce.io, and manage data extraction and loading with AirbyteIntegrate and modernize legacy data systems built on SQL Server/SSIS, with limited use of Azure Data Factory where requiredDesign and optimize the BI semantic layer to enable self-service analytics in Power BICollaborate with business and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable data architecture solutionsEstablish best practices for data modeling, pipeline development, and version control using GitHubTrack project progress and deliverables through JiraProvide technical leadership and mentorship to the Project teamWhat You BringProven experience as a Data Architect or Solution Architect with a strong background in cloud-based data platformsHands-on expertise with Snowflake, Power BI, Coalesce.io, Airbyte, SQL Server/SSIS, and some exposure to Azure Data FactoryDeep understanding of Medallion architecture and dimensional data modelingStrong knowledge of designing and maintaining BI semantic models for self-service analyticsExperience establishing and enforcing data engineering standards, frameworks, and best practicesFamiliarity with Jira for project management and GitHub for version controlExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across both business and technical teamsMinimum 4-hour overlap with US Eastern TimeNice to haveExposure to Salesforce integration and data sourcesExperience in the higher education (higher ed) or ed-tech domainEnglish levelUpper-IntermediateLegal & Hiring InformationExadel is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to inclusion across minority, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, and moreReasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functionsPlease note: this job description is not exhaustive.
