Job Title:Solutions Engineer II – RemoteEmployment Type:Full-time, 12-month contract (possibility of extension)About the Role:The Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer will serve as the technical partner to the Sales team, consulting with customers to design and demonstrate innovative internet solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise, customer engagement skills, and the ability to align Akamai’s products and services with customer business needs.You will act as a technical evangelist, driving solution adoption, creating opportunities, and helping close sales by effectively communicating complex technical solutions.Key Responsibilities:Manage the pre-sales technical process and demonstrate Akamai’s technology to prospective customers.Develop and deliver technical proposals, ensuring accuracy and alignment with customer requirements.Collaborate with Sales to educate customers on Akamai’s services and design strategic solutions.Evaluate new technologies and propose solutions to drive product innovation and production readiness.Enhance customer satisfaction, retention, and growth by aligning solutions with customer business needs.Required Qualifications & Skills:5+ years of relevant experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or consulting.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).Strong understanding of internet fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL.Knowledge of security technologies and cloud platforms (public and private).Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences (excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills).Strong problem-solving skills, ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, and adapt in a fast-changing environment.What You’ll Gain:Opportunity to shape internet solutions and be at the forefront of pre-sales innovation.Exposure to cutting-edge technologies in security, cloud, and internet performance.Collaborative work environment with opportunities to influence customer success and growth.
