Sourcing Category Manager (Mechanical / Electrical / Third-Party & Commercial)

MissionIBA is strengthening its Procurement organization and is looking for three experienced Sourcing Category Managers, each responsible for one of the following strategic areas:Mechanical Components & SystemsElectrical Components & SystemsThird-Party & Commercial ProcurementAs a Sourcing Category Manager, you will define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for your category to maximize value, ensure supply continuity, and drive cost optimization while supporting innovation and sustainability.You will lead a team of sourcing professionals and collaborate across the organization to ensure your category strategy supports IBA’s operational and strategic goals.Challenges we trust you withTasks & ResponsibilitiesDefine and implement a long-term strategy for your category, aligned with IBA’s global procurement objectives.Lead end-to-end sourcing activities and key supplier negotiations.Build and maintain strategic supplier partnerships to drive performance, innovation, and cost efficiency.Manage and develop a team of sourcing professionals, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.Deliver measurable cost savings and value creation, ensuring compliance with company standards and sustainability goals.What We ValueMaster’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management in an industrial companyAt least 3 years in team leadership or people management.Proven track record in category strategy development and cost optimization.Experience with direct material or commercial categories (mechanical, electrical, or third-party).Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Fluent in English; French is an asset.Proficiency with procurement systems, ideally SAPOfferThe opportunity to define and lead the strategy for one of IBA’s key procurement categories.A high-impact role in a global, innovative, and mission-driven environment.Competitive compensation and benefits package.A chance to contribute to IBA’s mission of protecting, improving, and saving lives through technology.The job will be based in Louvain-La-Neuve.
