Role: Sourcing Specialist – Polymers & Packaging MaterialsLocation: DubaiExperience: Must have 10-12 years of procurement experience in polymers, resins, and packaging materials in Plastics, Paint industries.Reporting to: Head of Direct MaterialsQualifications & Eligibility: • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Packaging Technology or related discipline.• Knowledge of polymers, packaging materials, and their technical specifications.• Experience with supplier negotiation, purchase order management, and vendor performance monitoring• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.• Familiarity with procurement systems such as SAP or Oracle.Role Purpose: Responsible for the procurement of polymers, resins, and packaging materials for Plastics, Paint, Home & Personal Care products. The role ensures timely, cost-effective, and quality-compliant sourcing to support production, new product development, and business operations.Key Responsibilities: • Procure polymers, resins, films, containers, closures, labels, and other packaging materials for multiple product lines.• Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, and competitive pricing.• Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of materials to support production schedules.• Conduct and quotations; negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers.• Monitor global polymer and packaging market trends and provide inputs for cost optimization and inventory planning.• Collaborate with R&D, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure materials meet technical specifications, compliance, and safety standards.• Support new product development projects with timely sourcing of specialty polymers and packaging materials.• Track procurement such as cost savings, supplier performance, and on-time delivery.• Track supplier performance, resolve supply issues, and maintain accurate procurement records.• Maintain inventory levels in coordination with stores/warehouse teams to prevent production disruptions.• Support continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing, vendor management, and procurement processesKey Value Add • Ensures continuous availability of polymers and packaging materials to avoid production delays.• Supports cost-effective and quality-compliant procurement aligned with production and product development requirements.• Facilitates smooth coordination between suppliers, R&D, quality, and operations teams for timely delivery
