The role is based in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area. The Sous Chef is a crucial member of the culinary leadership team, working directly under the Head Chef to manage and oversee all aspects of daily kitchen operations. This role focuses on maintaining the highest culinary standards, executing menu items consistently, managing inventory, and leading and mentoring the back-of-house (BOH) team. The Sous Chef acts as the Head Chef's direct substitute, ensuring quality and efficiency when the Head Chef is absent.Qualifications3-5 years of progressive culinary experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role (e.g. Junior Sous Chef, Chef de Partie) within a high-volume, quality-focused establishment (preferably a hotel).In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment operation.Proven ability to lead a team under pressure and efficiently manage multiple stations during peak service hours.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a focus on cost control and waste reduction.Excellent communication skills for instructing staff and coordinating with front-of-house (FOH) management.Relevant food safety manager certification.Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field.Fluency in a second language (beneficial in a diverse hotel setting).
