Sr. Auditor (1 year contract)

We are recruiting on behalf of our local client, currently undergoing an exciting period of operational transformation. As part of this journey, they are seeking a qualified Senior Auditor with a strong background in forensic accounting to play a key role in restoring and enhancing the accuracy and controls of their financial systems.This is a hands-on, impact-driven position focused on resolving a financial backlog, leading complex reconciliations, and supporting special projects designed to improve reporting processes and internal controls. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in an evolving environment, applying investigative accounting skills to help the business move forward. Key Responsibilities:Lead the review and clean-up of historical financial records and transactionsWork through a high volume of backlogged data, identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and areas requiring corrective actionOversee and perform detailed reconciliations across various accounts and ledgersCollaborate with internal finance and operational teams to improve reporting accuracy and audit readinessContribute to project-based work focused on strengthening internal financial systems and controlsProvide clear, actionable recommendations to senior management based on findingsRequirements:Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience within AuditProven experience in forensic accounting, external audit, and reconciliation-focused rolesPrior exposure to the Manufacturing industry is highly advantageousStrong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS or US GAAP)A track record of managing or clearing financial backlogs and working with complex data setsExcellent analytical, investigative, and communication skillsAdaptable, solution-oriented, and comfortable in fast-paced or transforming environments
