The ideal candidate will not only resolve issues on the spot but also assess the overall infrastructure and develops recommendations towards a remediation and improvement roadmap as they become familiar with the environment.This role requires a strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, security practices, and network design — with the ability to balance operational needs against security requirements.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesRapidly assess, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents to minimize downtimeAnalyze current infrastructure, identify vulnerabilities, and create remediation and optimization plansManage and maintain enterprise firewalls, routers, and switches, ensuring proper configurations and securityWork with cross-functional teams to understand dependencies, address risks, and improve overall system resilienceProvide recommendations on firewall rules, segmentation, and access controls to balance performance and securityDocument network architecture, changes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and complianceMentor junior staff and share best practices for troubleshooting and proactive monitoringRequired Skills & Experience7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking rolesStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to step in and make an immediate impactDeep understanding of network infrastructure, routing, switching, VPNs, and firewall conceptsHands-on expertise with: Palo Alto Networks (Next-Gen Firewalls, Panorama) Cisco Meraki (Firewalls, Switches, Wireless) Fortinet FortiGate (NGFWs, VPNs, Security Profiles)Knowledge of why/when to firewall or segment traffic and the implications for business operationsExperience creating and executing remediation and improvement plansFamiliarity with monitoring tools, logging, and alerting systemsExcellent communication skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsIndustry certifications such as Palo Alto PCNSE, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet NSE4+, or equivalentExperience in multi-vendor environmentsPrior consulting or client-facing experience
