Staff Nurse -Endoscopy

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our friendly and dynamic Endoscopy team at Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. You will play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality, and person-centred care to patients undergoing a range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.This is an excellent opportunity to develop specialist skills in areas such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy, EUS, ERCP, and bronchoscopy, supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team. You will receive full training and mentorship to enhance your confidence and competence within our JAG-accredited Endoscopy UnitIf you are passionate about providing excellent patient care, eager to learn new skills, and want to progress your nursing career in a supportive and innovative environment, we would love to hear from you.As a Band 5 Staff Nurse in the Endoscopy Unit, you will provide high-quality, safe, and compassionate care to patients undergoing a range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting the delivery of procedures such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS and bronchoscopy.Your duties will include preparing procedure rooms and equipment, assisting during procedures, monitoring patients pre- and post-procedure, and ensuring safe and effective recovery and discharge.You will be responsible for the accurate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, ensuring compliance with infection prevention, safety, and clinical governance standards.You will contribute to service improvement and uphold the Trust’s values by promoting dignity, respect, and patient-centred care at all times.The role also involves supporting health care assistant staff, participating in audit and training, and maintaining continuous professional development to enhance your endoscopy knowledge and clinical skills.At Imperial College Healthcare you can achieve extraordinary things with extraordinary people, working with leading clinicians pushing boundaries in patient care.Become part of a vibrant team living our values - expert, kind, collaborative and aspirational.
