Introduction to the jobKorea Statutory and Tax compliance team is part of ABS Finance Operation. Senior accountant role. You will bring hand on and pragmatic expertise know how to ensure the right accounting and reporting and drive continuous process improvement and actively engage in stakeholder management and support the transition to our future ERP system. You are expected to create and maintain clear insight in the nature and background of elements (to be) reported at the level of our Korea group entities This role is to arrange for a clear audit trail with proper substantiation and specification between our primary USGAAP books and Local GAAP financial statements / Local Tax Compliance obligations.1. VAT ManagementReconcile VAT accounts and clear open items monthly via AICO.Support VAT return processes and KPI achievement.Provide quarterly VAT forecasts and analysis to tax authorities and NL tax team.Reconcile export sales for VAT filing2. WHT (Withholding Tax)Identify and report software-related WHT with NL tax team.Coordinate monthly WHT returns with PO and ICY teams.Manage WHT accounts and prepare CIT WHT payment statements.3. CIT (Corporate Income Tax)Support tax adjustments by organizing data on prepaid taxes, FX translation, gains/losses, entertainment expenses, donations, and foreign tax payments.4. LIT (Local Income Tax)Prepare and file local tax allocation statements.Confirm and pay property, real estate, factory registration, and business place taxes.5. Statutory Audit SupportCoordinate audit interviews and provide requested documentation.Handle bank confirmations and prepare audit evidence.Organize FX translation, interest income/expense, and other account details.6. Inventory Account ManagementMonitor aged items and correct abnormal transactions.Develop and execute clean-up plans with Tax and EA teams.Collaborate with NL Sales Accounting and Inventory teams.7. Other TasksCollect CBCR-related party information.Manage corporate digital certificates.Respond to internal data requests and statistical surveys{{b}}.{{/b}}Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field8~12 years working experience in accounting or finance role in international business environment(8 years’ experience will be a strong advantage)Strong understanding of financial accounting processes; Experience with statutory audit and tax filing of reporting processes in a SAP environment and/ experience with applicable tax accounting rulesCPA license is preferred, but not mandatoryFluent in written & spoken English and Korean.Personal skills:Good analytical, communicative, managerial and social skills. Professional and ambitious attitude.
