Job Summary:The Stock Keeper is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items from the stockroom or warehouse. The role ensures accurate recordkeeping of inventory, maintains proper storage conditions, and supports efficient stock management to meet operational needs.Key Responsibilities:Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against delivery notes or purchase orders.Properly label and store items in designated locations.Maintain accurate inventory records in manual logs or computerized systems.Issue materials and products to departments or customers as requested.Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors of low-stock or overstock situations.Ensure storage areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety and security standards.Assist in preparing inventory reports and documentation.Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams for smooth operations.Follow company policies, safety rules, and quality standards.Qualifications and Skills:High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in inventory or warehouse management is a plus.Proven experience as a storekeeper, warehouse clerk, or similar role.Basic computer skills (MS Excel, ERP systems, or inventory software).Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to lift and move items safely as required.Good communication and teamwork abilities.Knowledge of inventory control procedures and best practices.Working Conditions:Typically works in a warehouse, stockroom, or storage facility environment.May require standing, walking, and handling materials for extended periods.
