STORE MANAGER (MANUFACTURING)

About The OpportunityA role within the manufacturing operations and materials management sector supporting high-volume production facilities across India. This on-site position sits at the intersection of stores, logistics and plant operations—responsible for maintaining material availability, accuracy of inventory records and compliance with safety and quality standards.Role & ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end stores operations: receive, inspect, store, issue and track raw materials, spares and finished-goods packaging components to ensure uninterrupted production.Maintain accurate inventory through daily stock control, cycle counts, and monthly reconciliations; investigate and close variances promptly.Operate and optimise ERP/WMS processes (material receipts, GRN, returns, bin management) to improve stock accuracy and reduce lead times.Coordinate with procurement, production planning and vendors to prioritise receipts, expedite critical material and manage vendor returns.Drive stores housekeeping, 5S, safety compliance and statutory audit readiness; implement SOPs and enforce material handling best practices.Lead and coach the stores team: assign duties, monitor performance, manage shift handovers and ensure training on equipment and procedures.Skills & QualificationsMust-HaveSAP MMWarehouse Management SystemInventory ControlCycle CountingFIFO/FEFOMS Excel AdvancedPreferredMaterial Requirement PlanningVendor Management5SAdditional QualificationsProven experience managing stores in a manufacturing or plant environment (on-site role).Strong operational discipline, audit orientation and experience implementing SOPs and safety practices.Comfort with shift schedules and floor-level engagement with production and procurement stakeholders.Benefits & Culture HighlightsHands-on role with clear impact on production continuity and cost control in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Opportunity to lead and grow a stores team and implement process improvements (5S/lean initiatives).Competitive on-site role offering exposure to cross-functional operations: procurement, planning and quality.Location: India — On-site.
