This role is critical in ensuring efficient inventory control, proper storage, and seamless distribution of materials across the company operations.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role based in Mumbwa Zambia for a Stores Officer. The Stores Officer will handle the day-to-day management of company inventories, ensuring accurate stock control, monitoring and replenishing inventory levels, and processing purchase orders. The role involves maintaining organized records and ensuring the proper handling and storage of materials in compliance with company policies.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, inspect, and verify all incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.Maintain accurate stock records using both manual and digital inventory systems.Monitor and manage stock levels to prevent shortages or excess.Conduct routine stock counts and reconcile variances.Ensure safe, organized storage and compliance with health and safety standards.Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.Prepare and dispatch materials to internal teams across all sites.Work closely with procurement, finance, and program teams on planning and reporting.What We're Looking ForDiploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.At least 3 years’ experience in stores or inventory management (NGO or manufacturing background preferred).Proficient in inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel.Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.Integrity, accuracy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.How to ApplySend your CV and a brief cover letter to orbsjobs@gmail.comwith the subject line: “Application – Stores Officer”Deadline: 21st November 2025Our Client is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
