Job Description

Meta is looking for a hardworking, proactive strategic account manager to drive revenue growth within retail partners accounts in an exciting, fast-paced environment. The position will involve building and leveraging high-value retail relationships in the Japan retail market supporting the Meta hardware products vision. This person will be charged with developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy at the customer level as a subset of the overall organizational vision.The strategic account manager is responsible for delivering revenue and exceeding sales targets through partner selling activities.Strategic Account Manager Responsibilities:Define and manage an annual business plan, quarterly business review with key retail accountsCommunicate business plans to internal/external stakeholders and develop executive relationships with key retail account stakeholdersPlan all new product launches in collaboration with marketing and business operations, deliver clear and concise communication and plan to partners to identify and develop business opportunitiesSupport co-marketing allocation and operate within annual budgetReview Sell In/Out data to identify new opportunities within existing product rangesNegotiate and manage trade funds in partnership with retail marketing to create customer and company value by consistently measuring and enforcing trade terms and identifying opportunities for improvementNegotiate, execute and manage commercial strategies and contractsWork closely with Operations to implement a CPFR process with retail and distributor partnersAchieve monthly/quarterly/annual targetsMinimum Qualifications:Knowledge of the Japan retail market, industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscapeExperience in delivery of sales quotas against business plansBA/BS/Master's in Business or Marketing related field (or similar work experience)7+ years of experience in Sales, Account Management or Business DevelopmentNegotiation and communication experience with experience in operators, retail & distribution agreementsSolid internal and external communication skillsEnglish & Japanese language fluencyPreferred Qualifications:Experience managing retail partners through distribution channels and/or manufacturer representative firmsExperience working with CE products retailers in Japan: Amazon, Bic Camera, Yodobashi Camera, Yamada Denki and EdionExperience in sales and marketing on Amazon (account management, paid search and display advertising)Demonstrated negotiation skills, "business-owner" and highly data-driven mindsetAbout Meta:Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
