About The CompanyOur client is a global leader in the Gaming & Technology sector, known for developing and publishing award-winning mobile games and intellectual properties.About The RoleThis is a crucial leadership role focused on driving brand growth and strategic partnerships within the local market. The successful candidate will lead the local team and be responsible for business development and creating scalable marketing programs, with a strong emphasis on the B.D. function.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Partnerships & Business Development (approx. 70% focus):Systematically identify, contact, and maintain long-term B.D. partnerships with top local brands to acquire new players and enhance local influence.Develop resource-exchange models and drive high-impact brand campaigns (e.g., co-branded products, collaborations).Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including school administrators, student organizations, and government bodies, ensuring full compliance for all activities.Scaled Local Publishing Programs & Growth:Strategize, develop, and implement scalable ecosystem programs (e.g., student club partnerships, campus ambassador programs, government programs, tournaments) across educational institutions.Integrate gaming concepts into educational/eSports curricula, working with teachers and administrators.Manage and collaborate with external agencies and KOLs for campaign execution.Team Leadership & Strategy:Lead, inspire, and grow the capabilities of the local market team (direct reports: approx. 4 team members).Develop and evolve key market strategies based on business goals, local insights, and available resources.Define, track, and analyze KPIs for all activities.Develop and implement key SOPs and collaborate with internal (central teams, eSports, etc.) and external stakeholders.RequirementsExperience: At least 5 years in business development, partnerships, or designing and executing scalable marketing initiatives, preferably in fast-moving industries such as technology, digital media, or gaming. Total work experience: 8–10 years.Leadership: At least 2 years of experience leading teams and managing vendors/partners.Skills:A natural relationship builder with a strong "sales mindset" and a drive to source and secure new brand partnerships (connections with top local brands and relevant government departments are highly desirable).Ability to think strategically and design scalable, trackable marketing programs.Must be hands-on and performance-driven.Proficient in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.Mandarin proficiency is highly advantageous for collaboration with international teams.Other:Passion for gaming (industry experience is a plus).Multinational exposure prioritized.Must be a Malaysian local.
