Location: Jacksonville, FL, USACompensation: $41 USD per hourContract Dates: December, 2025 – February, 2026Schedule: Position may require 24/7 availability based on operational needsAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Fuel & Lubricants Sourcing Analyst to support fuel procurement, category sourcing, supplier negotiations, and supply continuity for maritime operations. This role is responsible for the full strategic sourcing cycle: market analysis, contract negotiations, supplier management, compliance, and procurement execution. You will serve as a category subject-matter expert supporting multiple business units and ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and regulatory adherence.Due to the nature of maritime operations, this position may require 24/7 support to ensure uninterrupted fuel procurement and supply chain reliability.Key Responsibilities:Fuel Procurement & NegotiationSource and negotiate fuel pricing across spot markets and contracts.Ensure competitive cost, quality, and regulatory compliance.Maintain expert understanding of fuel markets, port conditions, product availability, and specifications.Supplier Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and compliant fuel supply.Evaluate supplier performance, reliability, safety adherence, and environmental compliance.Market AnalysisMonitor global fuel market trends to identify savings opportunities.Track fuel savings results and support development of cost-saving initiatives.Stakeholder CoordinationWork closely with business units to coordinate fuel requirements and deliveries.Provide expert guidance and maintain strong internal customer relationships.Regulatory ComplianceEnsure all fuel purchases comply with maritime and environmental regulations.Claims ManagementOversee and resolve marine fuel quality and quantity claims in a timely manner.Risk ManagementIdentify potential supply or procurement risks and implement mitigation actions.KPI & Documentation ManagementSupport and contribute to category KPIs.Maintain accurate, auditable records of all procurement transactions.Invoice & Financial SupportReview supplier invoices and verify pricing and delivery accuracy.Coordinate with Accounts Payable and Finance on payment processing and reporting.24/365 Fuel Procurement SupportRespond to urgent fuel needs, supplier negotiations, and operational challenges at any time.Lubricants Procurement SupportProvide backup support for lubricant procurement, including product knowledge, supplier management, and regulatory compliance.Required Skills & Qualifications:Strong negotiation and market analysis/forecasting skills.Ability to manage complex and high-value supplier negotiations.Proficiency in reviewing, redlining, and negotiating contract terms and conditions.Knowledge of international maritime fuel regulations and bunker fuel specifications.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external partners.Ability to work both independently and in team environments.Strong project management skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field and 5–8 years of strategic sourcing/vendor management experience,ORA combination of post-secondary education and relevant experience totaling 9 years.
