Job Description

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the supply chain operations for NPD projects. This key function functions within the Global Supply Chain organization that reports to Strategic Sourcing and Critical Projects department. This role involves strategic planning, coordination, and execution of supply chain activities to ensure the successful development and launch of new products. Develops governance as a center of excellence for project management and he/she has a strong overview of all ongoing projects and strategically develops mid and long-term execution plans. He/ She plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the supply chain to support the successful development and launch of new products.Roles & Responsibilities Strategic Planning: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the overall goals of an NPD project.Supplier Relationship Management: Liaise with External Manufacturers, Strategic Partners to ensure clear understanding of technical expectations/specifications, fostering support and needed resources to commit to timely prototyping and delivery to meet the needs of NPD projectsCross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize impact on project timelines and costs, ensuring Supply Chain ResiliencyDesign for Manufacturability (DFM): Collaborate with designer and engineering teams to ensure products are designed for efficient manufacturing. Identify and address potential manufacturing challenges during the design phase.New Product Introduction (NPI): Lead the supply chain aspects of the NPI process, ensuring seamless integration of new products into the supply chain. Develop and execute NPI plans, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.Problem Resolution: Lead a team to identify and address any supply-chain issues that may arise during manufacturing at the external manufacturer, provide technical expertise to resolve manufacturing issues and change request reviews.Global Procurement: Collaborate with Category managers to ensure cost-effective contracts and adherence to delivery schedules from awarded suppliers.Quality Assurance: Ensures production of high-quality POC products from suppliers by relaying quality expectations (incoming, in-process, outgoing) determined by the Quality function.Performance Management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supply chain efficiency, effectiveness and provide executive updates to management.Change Management: Strong advocate with clear change management process and mindset to establish governance both internal and external.Project Management: Develop and instill in project management best practices and principles for different project categories in the Global SC organization. Coordinate with department heads to address resource needs and constraints Leads and prepares for regular assessments of projects including management reports. Maintains a clear status of all projects and KPI performance within the Global SC organization and able to identify risks with the other managers and deescalate them. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and efficiency.Requirements Degree in supply chain mgmt., engineering, business, or related fields. PMP certification is a must.>8 years of experience in commercial/business AND manufacturing (industry4.0, ops, quality, technology, planning) function required.>5 years of experience in a PMO organization for NPD or R&D organization that applies Agile, Waterfall or hybrid approaches.>5 years of experience using project management software/ tools, (e.g.: Monday.com, Jira, Salesforce etc.).Proven leadership experience in leading cross-functional technical mid-to large-scale projects, from initiation to closure, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.Experience in Semiconductor capital equipment contract manufacturing Contract Manufacturing, Supply Chain Processes & Quality Management is highly desirable.Strong interpersonal & communication skills; mature, pleasant, and highly energetic personality.Willingness to travel within SEA, East Asia and any other countries as needed
