You will coordinate community engagement and advocacy efforts ensuring strategic alignment with Council’s Corporate Planning documents and ensure engagement activities (both internally and externally) are effective and help support councils decision-making processesTo view the Position Description, please click here.About YouWe are seeking an individual who holds a qualification in public administration, communications, business or a related discipline and has experience in one or more of the following: economic development, corporate planning, grant management, community engagement or advocacy.You will have the following skills and experience;Experience within a local government or public sector environment and an understanding of the NSW Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework and relevant legislation.Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence with a proven ability to work collaboratively and coordinate a teamStrong problem solving and strategic thinking skills including demonstrated ability to positively influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.Proven ability to manage complex projects, meet deadlines, and coordinate inputs from multiple stakeholders.BenefitsThis is a permanent full time position working 35 hours per week.The total remuneration package for this position commences at $117,458.43 gross per annum, comprising of:$2,016.80 per week base salary$242.02 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)Additional benefits for this position include:Rostered day off scheme (nine day fortnight)Annual Award salary increases and performance reviewsSalary packaging program (SmartSalary)Wellbeing Initiatives - Fitness Passport, Employee Assistance Program, Telus Health App, social club, health monitoring and annual flu vaccinations.For further information on this position, please contact Kaliegh Smerdon - Manager Engagement and Corporate Strategy on 02 6499 2430.Applications close 11.59pm AEDT on 19 November 2025.Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and address the advertised selection criteria demonstrating their suitability for the role.This position requires applicants to be suitably immunised in line with recommendations from the Australian Immunisation Handbook, mandated Public Health Orders and/or Councils Immunisation Procedure.
