This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Director of Supply Chain and Logistics.What You Will DoGather raw material pricing information to produce costed bills of material in support of customer quotationsActively review MRP outputs to understand raw material supply needsWork with suppliers to confirm product price and lead timePurchase raw materials in support of the production schedule while adhering to material budget requirementsActively monitor and expedite outstanding purchase orders to ensure delivery dates and production schedules are being metGather data and report on supplier performance, and other relevant performance indicesAdhere to company and departmental policies and procedures and, if necessary, contribute to their improvement to promote better business practicesProactively build effective working relations with your peers to support optimal supply chain operationsPerform other occasional assignments in the spirit and purpose of the role and within the scope of the Supply Chain Management functionWhat You Will NeedProfound understanding of ERP/MRP systemsProficiency in MS-Excel and other MS-Office softwareExcellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsStrong interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively and effectively communicate, both internally and externallyAbility to organize and prioritize workload, ensuring key milestones and regular deadlines are achieved5+ years in a purchasing or similar role. Consideration may be given to recent graduates of a Supply Chain Management, or similar, post-secondary academic curriculumPrototype/NPI and low volume manufacturing experience is an assetCollege Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain management is considered an assetAPICS, PMAC or other Purchasing/Supply Chain qualification/certification is an assetWe offer competitive salaries, a dynamic working environment, the potential for professional growth and career development, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
