We're looking for a talented consultant to join our client's team, where you can contribute to a vital mission focused on the sustainable management of radioactive waste and ensure protection for both people and the environment.Role OverviewIn this position, you will be a key link between the service desk and technical teams. Your expertise and customer-focused approach will ensure excellent service delivery, maintaining the continuity and security of the IT environment. You will actively engage in new proposals aimed at optimizing operations through technologically innovative solutions. This role is primarily on-site with the flexibility for occasional remote work.Key Responsibilities And TasksService Support: Provide second-line support for complex IT issues that couldn't be resolved by first-line support.Daily Operations: Monitor and maintain networks, servers, and platforms to guarantee a stable and secure IT environment.Continuous Improvement: Engage in improvements and configurations to ensure the ongoing enhancement of the IT environment.Collaborate effectively on a team while being able to work independently and with precision, taking initiative and demonstrating flexibility.Communicate effectively, continuously prioritizing the needs of internal customers.Ideal Candidate ProfileThe successful candidate will possess:Technical Skills: Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex IT problems beyond first-line capabilities; solid understanding of networking (WAN, LAN, VPN, firewalls), systems (Windows, Linux, Active Directory, M365, virtualization); experience with workstations, servers, hardware, and software installations/upgrades; knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including patch management and endpoint security; experience using PowerShell for task automation.Customer and Service Orientation: Strong communication skills, capable of explaining issues clearly and patiently to non-technical users; empathy and understanding of the impact of IT incidents on users; ability to remain calm and prioritize under pressure.Analytical and Problem-Solving Mindset: Proficient in root cause analysis with the ability to resolve issues systematically; critical thinking and capacity to work independently.Team Collaboration and Documentation: Work well in collaboration with various levels of engineers and other departments; good documentation skills, maintaining comprehensive records of IT processes in a ticketing system.Monitoring and Proactive Management: Familiarity with system and network monitoring tools; ability to analyze logs to proactively identify issues; monitoring performance and usage trends to anticipate necessary changes or upgrades.Fluency in both English and Dutch or French is required.
