ResponsibilitiesRecruitment and TrainingOversee and conduct training of Field Associates and Assistants on survey content and field protocolsOversee and monitor the training process for survey content and field protocolsMaintain a database of surveyors and other useful data collection contacts and resources.Assist the Deputy Manager and Manager in the recruitment and training of new core team membersWorkflow ManagementDesigning, pilot testing, and conducting surveys or administrative data gathering exercises based on discussions with the project team.Reviewing the digital survey and incorporating constraints to validate logical checks.Managing and troubleshooting any immediate concerns of stakeholders regarding the project.Implement real-time survey progress trackers using Google Sheets/ Microsoft BI or other analytics toolsStreamline and document all workflows and protocolsFinancialAssisting the team in creating budgets for survey projects.Managing the budget including tracking all expenses to ensure costs are within project funds in collaboration with the Survey Lead.Create processes for developing monthly salary sheets for field staff.Data Quality and AssuranceOrganize, implement and create processes for piloting, high-frequency checks, and back-checks and spot checks.Creating processes for cleaning any errors that may stem from data entry or bad source material.Coordinating any data related questions or concerns with the project teams and stakeholders.Designing the exercise strategy, training surveyors and monitoring surveys through field spot checks, back-checks and high-frequency checks.Ensuring all data quality protocols are followed including auditing enumerators and performing daily checks of the incoming data; correcting the errors of staff iteratively to ensure the data is of the highest quality.Relationship Management & Business DevelopmentProactively identify opportunities to deliver CERP's mission of ensuring high-quality data collection with in-house projects as well as third-party firms.Strategically managing stakeholder relationships, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues to ensure project success.Assisting the Deputy Manager and Manager in business development-related activities, including the preparation of proposals and bidsThis is NOT an exhaustive list of tasks that you will be performing. You may be assigned additional tasks as deemed necessary by your reporting points, the Project or CERP management, or the CERP Board.Skills RequiredEducation & Experience:A master's degree in Economics, Public Policy, Computer Science, or a related discipline, and 3-5 years of experience managing fieldwork or data collection projects, would be preferred.TechnicalUnderstanding of STATA/R/ PythonFamiliarity with analytic tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Google AnalyticsWorking knowledge of data collection apps such as Survey CTO or ODK platformsProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointProficiency in Google Suite, especially Google Sheets, Docs, and SlidesOperationsAbility to manage and train large teamsAbility to mentor junior colleaguesExperience in budgeting and cash flow managementAbility to create workflows and processes for large-scale projectsAbility to resolve on-ground challenges with large teamsAbility to manage project timelines and budget constraints
