Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure ManagementInstall, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers, networking, firewall, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and enterprise software applicationsManage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file servers, print servers, and Office 365 environmentsPerform regular system backups, recovery, and disaster recovery testingCoordinate with vendors for hardware/software procurement, licensing, and supportSecurity & ComplianceImplement and maintain IT security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus, and endpoint protectionPerform regular patch management for operating systems, applications, and firmwareConduct vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and security audits in alignment with frameworks such as CISSP domains, NIST, and ISO 27001Enforce identity and access management best practices by applying the principles of least privilege and zero trustMaintain security documentation, incident logs, and compliance reportsMonitoring & Incident ResponseUse system monitoring and SIEM tools to track system health, performance, and security events, if anyTroubleshoot and resolve escalated hardware, software, and network issues promptlyLead disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing, and executionUser & Access ManagementManage user accounts, group policies, and access rights across systems and applicationsProvide escalation-level support to internal teams, ensuring security policies are consistently appliedDocumentation & Process ImprovementKeep detailed records of configurations, procedures, and change management activitiesRecommend and implement process improvements to enhance performance, security, and resilienceQualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldProfessional certification preferred: CCNA, CISSP, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent3-5 years of experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure supportStrong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environmentsExperience with cybersecurity tools, vulnerability management, and incident responseExcellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
