πŸ”§ Position: System Support Technician III πŸ“ Modality: 100% Remote πŸ•’ Schedule: Monday to Friday β€” 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST 🌐 Languages: English (C1)πŸ“ Role DescriptionAs a System Support Technician III, you will play a key role in the success of multiple client projects.60% of your time will be dedicated to project-based work.40% will focus on Tier 2 escalated support and advanced maintenance within MSP environments.You will provide proactive support for clients’ day-to-day operations, including workstation setup, printers, phones, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, installations, and system updates.πŸ› οΈ Technical ResponsibilitiesAdvanced technical support in MSP, cloud, and cybersecurity environments.5+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration (MSP experience required).System design, requirements analysis, and documentation.Disaster Recovery planning and execution.Performing backups and restores across physical and virtual environments.Deploying and configuring Windows Server.Administration of on-premises Active Directory.Virtualization: Hyper-V (priority) and VMware (required).Knowledge of replication, failover, and high-availability environments.Foundational Azure administration.Office 365 management (required).Exchange administration.Basic SQL knowledge (installation, migration, backup).Fundamental networking: routing, NAT, firewall rules, RADIUS/LDAP, VLANs, SSL certificates.Root Cause Analysis for advanced technical incidents.Contributing to efficiencies through automation and scripting.🎯 CompetenciesStrong customer service orientation, supporting both internal and external users.Clear and effective communication with teams and clients.Critical thinking and advanced problem-solving skills.High technical proficiency in hardware, operating systems, Hyper-V, failover, BDR, PowerShell, MSP tools, Exchange, O365, and Azure.🧩 Key Technical SkillsHyper-V and VMwareWindows Server AdministrationActive Directory (on-prem)Office 365 AdministrationMandatory MSP backgroundBasic SQL (installation, backup, migration)Server virtualization and administrationManagement of multiple client environments
