Systems Engineer – Business Messaging & Tandem

Job DescriptionDivision: Group Technology Services (GTS)Please note that this is a permanent position and we do not offer freelance/contract arrangement for the role.Join Group Technology Services (GTS) and become part of the Business Messaging Team, a key player in Euroclear’s secure and resilient financial messaging ecosystem. We manage and evolve the platforms that enable critical SWIFT message flows (ISO15022 and ISO20022), ensuring seamless connectivity for our business and clients. This is your chance to work on high‑availability systems, contribute to strategic projects, and keep the backbone of global financial communication running smoothly.What You'll DoInstall, configure, and maintain our two main gateway applications:BESS (ISO15022)LIG (ISO20022)Act as 2nd/3rd‑line support for these applications, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure timely resolution.Participate in upgrades, migrations, and integration projects, ensuring smooth implementation and minimal disruption.Plan and execute patching, capacity upgrades, and decommissioning activities in line with technology roadmaps.Work closely with vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to maintain service quality and deliver enhancements.Contribute to high‑availability and disaster recovery strategies for mission‑critical messaging systems.Participate in watch duty / on‑call rotations outside business hours as part of a shared schedule.What You BringHands‑on experience with Tandem/HPE NonStop environments (Guardian/OSS, Pathway, TMF, TACL scripting, SQL/MP or SQL/MX, EMS, clustering, fault‑tolerant concepts).Familiarity with SWIFT standards (ISO15022, ISO20022) and financial messaging flows.Proven experience installing, configuring, and supporting enterprise applications in a mission‑critical environment.Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with ITIL processes.Solid grounding in Linux/Windows OS and core networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, DNS).Ability to script and automate operational tasks (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python, or TACL).Clear communicator who can document well and collaborate effectively across teams.Willingness to provide out‑of‑hours support on a rotational basis.Nice to haveExperience with BESS and/or LIG platforms.Knowledge of middleware integration and high‑availability architectures.Familiarity with monitoring tools and observability practices.Exposure to regulated environments and security best practices.About UsWhy join usEmbark on your new adventure at Euroclear, and work at the heart of the global capital markets.
