The role will be pivotal inimplementing and optimizing EssilorLuxottica’s global, Asia-wide, and local talent initiatives inJapan, while fostering an inclusive culture that aligns with our business strategy and objectives. The individual will work closely with the Asia COE team, the local HR team, and country leadership to deeply understand business and people needs and to effectively drive the success of various initiatives.Main ResponsibilitiesTalent ManagementDrive a high-performance culture by championing One Performance process and equipping people managers with the skills to identify and develop key talen t. Collaborate with the Asia COE team to facilitate talent reviews and succession planning and ensure follow-up on Individual DevelopmentPlans (IDPs) to accelerate the growth of identified talents and successors. Effectively manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date talent data.Talent DevelopmentEffectively manage talent program nominations and monitor the development of key talents within the country. Gather local talent development needs and collaborate with the Asia COE team to design and implement tailored local solutions and programs.Culture and EngagementPromote EssilorLuxottica’s values and competencies by implementing relevant programs andactivities at the local level. Effectively manage the employee Your Voice survey process—including the annual engagement survey, onboarding survey, and exit survey—by driving high participation rates, analyzing data, sharing insights with local leadership, facilitating focus groups when needed,and supporting leaders in developing and executing action plans. Champion and lead the DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) annual calendar by organizing DEI initiatives and partnering with leaders to foster inclusive leadership across the organization.Organizational Effectiveness and LeadershipIdentify and address organizational effectiveness opportunities, e.g. change management, building team trust, align team vision/goal, work with Asia COE team to design solutions to support organization and business. Drive leadership development by leveraging resources of Global and Asia.Candidate Profile At least 4-5 years’ experience in TD, TM, and PM experienceOpen to industry experience; retail / wholesales industry is a plus but not mandatoryMust have an interest in retail / fashion industryFluency in Japanese and English (Native Japanese speaker preferred)Technical Skills & Professional KnowledgeFunctional Knowledge: Strong understanding of talent management, talent development,performance management, and employee engagement, supported by hands-on experience inthese areas.Project Management: Proven experience in managing projects effectively from planning toexecution.Organizational Savvy: Deep understanding of matrix organizations, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders across various functions and levels.Who is EssilorLuxottica?We are a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of ophthalmic lenses, frames, and sunglasses.
