In accordance with the strategy of Arise Group, TIPSP is a subsidiary of « Arise Ports & Logistics » which is well positioned to be the new gateway port of West Africa and handling minerals and liquid cargo.Position Title: Tax OfficerLocation: Terminal Industrial Polyvalent de San Pedro (TIPSP), Côte d’IvoireReporting to: Senior Finance ManagerLanguage: English & FrenchKey Responsibilities:1.Tax Compliance & Reporting• Prepare and file all periodic tax returns (VAT, CIT, payroll taxes, withholding taxes, etc.) in line with local regulations.• Monitor statutory deadlines to ensure full compliance and avoid penalties.• Maintain accurate tax records and documentation for audits and inspections.• Support the Finance Manager in tax reconciliations and year-end closing.2.Tax Planning & Optimization• Assist in implementing strategies to optimize tax efficiency within the legal framework.• Provide analysis on the tax implications of business decisions, contracts, and new projects(including Phase 2 expansion).• Support the review of supplier and customer contracts to ensure compliance with tax legislation.3.Audit & Control• Prepare documentation for tax audits and liaise with tax inspectors.• Coordinate responses to queries or disputes raised by tax authorities.• Support internal and external audits with relevant tax data and justifications.4.Reportings, Advisory & Continuous Improvement• Contribute to reports and consolidation exercises.• Keep management informed of tax regulation changes and their operational impacts.• Propose updates to internal tax processes and procedures.• Support training and awareness initiatives on tax compliance within the finance and procurementteams.Profile Requirements:Education & Experience• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or related field.• At least 5 years’ experience in tax compliance or consulting, preferably in multinational or industrial environments.• Experience with Ivorian tax legislation and practice (DGI processes, OHADA, BCEAO).• Knowledge of customs taxation for import/export activities is an asset.Technical Skills• Solid understanding of Ivorian corporate, VAT, and payroll tax systems.• Experience in tax declaration software and ERP systems (SAP, Sage, Oracle, etc.).• Strong Excel and reporting skills.• Knowledge of international tax principles and transfer pricing is a plus.Soft Skills• High integrity and discretion.• Rigorous and detail-oriented.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent communication with both internal teams and tax authorities.• Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.Key Interfaces• Finance Manager (direct reporting)• Managing Director• Procurement Department• Legal Department• External auditors and Tax Authorities (DGI, Customs/Douanes)
