Reporting to the Coordinator of Works, this role is pivotal in supporting the successful delivery of civil construction and maintenance projects across our network.As a key member of the team, you will provide technical leadership, guidance, and expertise to ensure projects are planned, coordinated, and delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll play an integral role in driving compliance with workplace health and safety, quality assurance, and environmental standards, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.If you’re passionate about building and maintaining essential infrastructure and want to be part of a team that makes a real impact in the community, we’d love to hear from you.Key AccountabilitiesPlan, co-ordinate and supervise road construction and maintenance and/or structures construction and maintenance works or projects delegated to your team within agreed time frame and budget and to agreed standards, including the supervision of plant and contractors as requiredLead and supervise team members and contractors, providing direction and support consistent with Council’s policies and procedures.Recommend changes, where appropriate, to ensure all team members have clearly defined responsibilities, objectives and performance criteria covering their positions.Being competent to correctly complete standard forms and reports (such as timesheets, leave forms, plant sheet entries, WHS forms)Actively participating in team and toolbox meetingsEnsuring the provision of sound planning, revision, completion of Safe Work Method Statements, Audits for quality/compliancy and record/reporting documentation within the requirements and obligations of the NSW WHS Act and Regulations and related Council policiesAssist the Works Coordinator with the development of infrastructure construction and maintenance programs/reports.
