Department: Merchant Services & PaymentsLocation:  On-site (Cyprus)Reports to: Head of Merchant Services & PaymentsAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Technical Payments Specialist - a highly skilled technical specialist who will act as the bridge between merchants, gateways, and internal systems.The role involves hands-on integration work, terminal setup, payout flow automation, and deep collaboration with developers to maintain and optimize our payment infrastructure.Key Responsibilities1. Payments Bridge & Cross-Functional Operations:Create and configure new merchant shops and payment bridges according to business requests;Maintain and validate data field mapping between legacy and new CRM systems;Verify existing and newly deployed payment button logic and gateway flows;Create and manage external test accounts for payment testing and validation.2. Payout Infrastructure & Support:Build and maintain automated payout bridges between merchants and gateways:Implement and monitor bulk withdrawal systems for seamless payout execution;Ensure payout reconciliation and data consistency across APIs and internal records.3. Gateway Functionality & Issue Resolution:Oversee gateway functionality and maintain system health;Track, reproduce, and document technical errors and bugs; collaborate with engineering teams on fixes and performance enhancements;Develop and test SQL-based report logic for payment data analysis;Design automated alert systems for real-time transaction monitoring;Develop and fine-tune pre-authorization and fraud rules;Create, calibrate, and document terminal logic rules across environments.4. Terminals & Connector Management:Create and configure payment terminals and connectors in production;Validate data logs, field mappings, and ensure compliance with PSP specifications;Adjust connectors based on PSP-side changes and business requirements.Requirements 2–4 years of experience in Payments Integration, Gateway Operations, or Fintech TechOps;Solid understanding of payment flows, APIs, and webhooks;Strong technical mindset with knowledge of SQL / JSON / XML and data mapping;Experience with PSP dashboards, payout systems, and merchant integrations;Comfortable debugging API responses and system logs;Hands-on experience with transaction monitoring and terminal configuration;Excellent communication and cross-departmental coordination skills;Fluent in English/Russian (technical and operational communication).Nice to HaveExperience in payments, gateway, fintech verticals;Familiarity with fraud detection rules and risk algorithms;Understanding of server-side architecture / database logic;Basic scripting (Python, Postman, or Bash for automation testing).What We OfferDeep involvement in the company’s core payment infrastructure;Opportunity to design and optimize payment systems end-to-end;Close collaboration with engineers, analysts, and PSP partners;Competitive salary package and performance bonuses;Fast-track growth in a high-volume, multi-GEO processing environment.
