Your work will focus on shaping the packaged product we deliver to customers: defining what it is, how it behaves, how it's configured, and how it delivers value out of the box.You'll translate customer needs and market insights into clear specs, prioritize the product backlog, and drive day-to-day execution. You'll partner with design, engineering, and internal stakeholders to define requirements, validate solutions, track progress, and ship features that make our offering feel polished, coherent, and ready for customer adoption.ResponsibilitiesWrite clear product specs and technical requirements for new features and improvementsOwn and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities are well-defined and up to dateCoordinate with engineers and designers during sprint planning and executionReview progress, provide context, and remove blockers during development cyclesTranslate business needs into product requirements through internal collaborationTrack feature usage and feedback post-release to guide future improvementsCommunicate timelines, scope, and changes to internal stakeholdersEnsure alignment between product goals and what's being builtRequirements3+ years in a product owner, product manager, or similar role in a software companyStrong understanding of how software is built and shipped (you can speak dev, even if you're not an expert coder)Experienced in writing product specs, managing backlogs, and working in agile environmentsComfortable working with technical teams and asking the right questions to clarify scope or trade-offsOrganized, detail-oriented, and able to manage shifting prioritiesConfident communicator who can align cross-functional teams and keep things movingExperience working on developer-facing or AI/automation productsBackground in engineering, computer science, or technical implementationAbout BotpressAs a fast-growing Series A start-up, we run a lean and innovative ship that leans on AI for maximum business impact.
