Their mission is to advance future-focused research and accelerate its impact across the intersections of science and technology, business, and society.ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Program Manager to join the Accelerator team at MSRA. The candidate will work closely with researchers, Microsoft internal partners, collaborative professors and young talents around the world. The candidate will also oversee and coordinate research projects, foster collaboration between MSRA and academia, and ensure successful research project delivery. This role requires strong PM skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. This role also requires the candidate to work closely with young talents and rising stars in the CS and related fields, closely monitor evolving talent trends and be responsible for the MSRA talent programs.Discover actionable insights from research and emerging trends and lead research projects within the Accelerator team to ensure alignment with strategic goals and timelines.Collaborate with researchers, Microsoft internal teams, and external partners to define project scope, deliverables, and milestones, and oversee execution from inception to completion.Foster collaboration between MSRA and academia through joint research initiatives and knowledge exchange programs.Ensure compliance with Microsoft policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.Oversee MSRA talent programs, including “Stars of Tomorrow Internship Program,” “StarLeap Program,” and “StarBridge Program,” and closely monitor evolving talent trends.QualificationsRequired qualifications:Master’s or above degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of program management experience in a research or technology environment. Proven track record of managing complex projects. Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese, including the ability to communicate with senior executives and customers. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with Microsoft’s technologies and research areas.
