TECHNICAL PROGRAMME MANAGER

Role OverviewThe Technical Programme Manager at Uniccon Institute of Technology (UIT) is responsible for leading the strategic design, execution, and commercial growth of the Institute’s technical and digital training programme. This role bridges the gap between technology, education, and business, ensuring that every programme delivers both industry-relevant learning outcomes and measurable revenue impact.You will oversee curriculum development, partnerships, and operational performance, ensuring alignment with current market trends and Uniccon Group’s broader digital innovation goals. Working closely with the Director, you will drive programme excellence, operational efficiency, and business sustainability.Key ResponsibilitiesProgramme and Technical LeadershipLead the planning, development, and implementation of digital and technical training programme that meet market and industry demands.Manage and mentor the academic and technical team to ensure high-quality delivery and learner success.Integrate advanced digital tools and platforms (e.g., robotics, AI, 3D printing, drones) to enhance teaching and learning experiences.Ensure continuous improvement of curricula and pedagogy in response to industry evolution and emerging technologies.Business Growth and Revenue OptimizationCollaborate with the Business Team to develop and execute a programme revenue strategy, including pricing, partnership models, and sponsorship opportunities.Identify and pursue B2B and institutional training contracts, government grants, and collaborations that expand the Institute’s revenue base.Track, analyze, and report on key business metrics, ensuring profitability and scalability of training programme.Collaborate with the Business Development and Marketing teams to design and implement effective enrolment and client acquisition campaigns.Stakeholder and Partnership EngagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, government agencies, and certification bodies to ensure programme relevance and accreditation.Represent UIT in technical forums, events, and partnerships that position the institute as a leader in digital skills development.Operational and Performance ManagementOversee programme delivery, budgets, and timelines, ensuring operational excellence and financial accountability.Implement systems for evaluating learning outcomes, programme effectiveness, and participant satisfaction.Prepare regular technical and financial performance reports for management decision-making.Innovation and Strategic ProjectsLead or support the development of new technical initiatives, pilot projects, or innovation labs within the institute.Organize industry-driven workshops, hackathons, and exhibitions that showcase learner innovation and attract external engagement.Align training initiatives with Uniccon Group’s strategic objectives and technology product pipelines.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management, Information Technology / Information Systems or a related field . An MBA is highly desirable + years of progressive experience in technical training management, project management, or programme leadership in a tech, academic, or consulting environment.Proven experience in business development, revenue growth, or partnership management within a technical or educational setting.Strong understanding of digital technologies (AI, IoT, robotics, cloud computing, cybersecurity, etc.).Excellent leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to balance technical depth with business and strategic thinking.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Growth in training programme enrolment and revenue.Successful delivery of technical programme on time and within budget.Industry partnerships and certification collaborations established.Improvement in learner performance and satisfaction metrics.New revenue streams generated through partnerships, B2B contracts, or innovation projects.Why Join Uniccon Institute of Technology (UIT)At UIT, you’ll lead impactful programs that build Africa’s next generation of tech innovators.
