Technical Project Manager II

Description The Opportunity:We are looking for a Technical Project Manager who is familiar with Agile and Scaled Agile processes (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.) and supporting enterprise-level products. You will be working with teams based in the US and Europe. You will work closely with the Design (UX), Product, Data Science, and Product Engineering organizations. You will ensure deliverables are properly scoped, dependencies are accounted for and the project is meeting goals and deadlines.The ideal candidate has successfully led and independently owned the lifecycle of a strategic, large and complex software project, ensuring timely and successful delivery using technical project management best practices. You are a detail-oriented person with exceptional communication, analytical and abstract thinking skills. You work well with others and are able to “influence without authority” in order to successfully deliver multiple projects on time. You have worked closely with business and technology partners, played a crucial role in supporting enterprise customer-facing software, and have demonstrable experience building and fostering relationships with internal stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with Agile Coaches, Engineering and Product to align on competing priorities to ensure the backlog is properly prioritized with project-level requirementsRun project status meetings to determine progress, identify roadblocks, drive their resolution or ensure a clear hand-off to the right owner and work to minimize risksProvide clear, concise and accurate written communication in the form of status reports to executive managementReport project statuses to team mates and other stakeholdersWork closely with all stakeholders review priorities and project deliverables Attend cross-team meetings and articulate any issues, changes in priority, or blockers that impact projectsCreate project timelines and Jira Plans to manage and communicate project timeline including milestones, dependencies, risks to report project health statusTrack interdependencies, assess project risk, identify mitigations, and work across teams to develop contingency plansAssist Engineering teams with work estimation and resource allocationConduct regular project reviews, gather feedback, capture outputs in tickets and/or notes and communicate to stakeholdersRun product release management processes, including SAFe PI planning and demos, roadmap planning, change request management and Scrum of ScrumsContribute to and improve the PMO center of excellenceQualificationsRequired Skills and Experience6-8 years managing end to end complex technical projectsHigh proficiency administering Atlassian Jira, Jira Advanced Roadmaps and ConfluenceDeep experience with using ScriptRunner for JiraDeep experience creating and maintaining Confluence and Jira DashboardsProficiency with MS Excel or Google Sheets and Google Suite products.Self-starter with ability to work independentlyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be familiar with managing and running Scaled Agile principles, SAFe, such as Program Increment Planning and demos in an agile environment.Nice to have:Working with and coordinating work for Design and UX teamsRunning projects involving data pipelines and working with enterprise applications that visualize and analyze very large data setsAboutOokla® is a global leader in connectivity intelligence, offering unparalleled network insights through the combined expertise of Speedtest®, Downdetector®, RootMetrics®, and Ekahau®. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The salary compensation for this role is $90,000 - $130,000 USD/year.
