Please visit Ingenico | HomePosition Title: Technical Project ManagerReports to: Head of Professional Services - APACDirect Reports: N/AKey Clients & Stakeholders: Ingenico Customers Ingenico Sales team Ingenico R&D team Ingenico Region and GroupPurpose:The Technical Project Manager will own, lead and coordinate all software projects for Ingenico Japan. This includes working closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and to high-quality standards. The role is responsible for technical integration projects (hardware, software, firmware, payment terminals, etc.), stakeholder management, risk and issue resolution, and ensuring compliance with relevant regional standards and regulations.Areas of Responsibility:Own & lead the end-to-end management of software projects — from initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring to closure.Define and maintain project plans — scope, schedule, resources, budgets, milestones, dependencies & risks.Monitor progress against plans — manage changes in scope, schedule, budget; escalate as needed.Work closely with the regional sales team, R&D team & Solution Engineer/GTM Lead to facilitate the creation of Solutions Designs that meet Customer and Ingenico requirements.Ensure the projects are accurately prioritized based on the customer milestones & Ingenico business objectives to drive the alignment with R&D/Engineering team resource & time planning.Produce Statement of Work and estimate costs for customer proposals, both high-level and detailed.Proactively manage Ingenico’s customer (external) & internal stakeholder expectations.Ensure Ingenico’s Standard Operating Procedures are followed.Track and report progress of projects both internally and externally.Manage expectations and assignments, both internally and externally.Identify roadblocks and improve processes to clear the path such that work practices are continuously improved.Competencies, Skills and ExperienceCompetencies:Strong leadership skillsBusiness acumenProactive, solution-oriented mindsetAdaptability & resilience: able to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while managing multiple priorities & teamsStrong communication & negotiation skillsAble to balance “big picture” strategic thinking with detailed executionTeam playerIntegrity, reliability, accountabilityDiscretionAble to drive/conduct meetingsAlways looks for improvementsSkills:Strong verbal and written communication skills (native Japanese & English)Strong understanding of integration projects — APIs, payment terminal systems/POS, Cloud solutions, payment or commerce workflowsExcellent stakeholder management skills; ability to communicate complex technical content to both technical and non-technical audiencesStrong organizational, planning, time-management skills; ability to manage multiple complex concurrent projects.Leadership skills: able to lead cross-functional teams, motivate others, manage vendor/contractor relationshipsEffective project Risk and Issue managementEfficient project budget managementKnowledge of the Japanese payments industry and standards will be beneficialExperience:5+ years’ experience in software delivery/technical Project Management roles preferably in Payments, banking or finance industriesProficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint) and documentation practices.Proficiency in Agile ways of working & methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)Experience in Android App development & integration is highly desiredExperience with certification / compliance processes relevant to payments / POS / terminals is a plusExperience in Android software development projects will be preferred.Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experienceLeadership Behaviours:Focus ForwardThink CustomerDriveInspireTeam UpCompliance:Contribute to health and safety at work by identifying, reporting and controlling hazards and promptly reporting incidentsComply with all applicable company policiesA favourable Police Check and other background checks are requiredInformation Security:Comply with company policies and procedures in relation to Information Security and confidentialityAvoid working in a manner that represents any unacceptable risk to information security, including non-work activities which result or could result in breach of the information security policyReport any breach of privacy, security or confidentiality in a timely manner to protect the interests of the company
